      Why is the LCD screen discolored?

      There are a few issues that a smartphone/tablet may have that would be considered to be screen discoloration:

      • Dead or missing pixel(s)
      • Line segment(s)
      • Dark spots
      • The screen is tinted another color

      Follow the steps below if you are having any of the issues listed above.

      Has your smartphone/tablet sustained any physical or liquid damage?

      If yes, then you will need to contact the manufacturer for service.


      Are Developer Options enabled?

      Please disable or turn off developer options:

      1. Press the HOME key.
      2. Select the "Apps" icon.

      3. Select the "Settings" icon.
      4. Select "Developer Options." Note: If this option is not available, then Developer Options is already disabled.
      5. Select the Slider to turn it off.

      Did you enable Color Inversion (this option is only availble on 5.0 Lollipop or higher)?

      Please disable or turn off Color Inversion.

      1. Press the HOME key.
      2. Select the "Apps" icon.
      3. Select the "Settings" icon.
      4. Select "Accessibility."
      5. Select "Color Inversion."
      6. Select the Slider to turn it off.

      Did you enable Color Correction (this option is only availble on 5.0 Lollipop or higher)?

      Please disable or turn off Color Correction.

      1. Press the HOME key.
      2. Select "Apps."
      3. Select "Settings."
      4. Select "Accessibility."
      5. Select "Color Correction."
      6. Select the Slider to turn it On.

      Have you downloaded a 3rd Party application recently?

      Please boot your device into Safe Mode.


      Have you wiped the cache partition?

      Try wiping the cache partition.


      Have you performed a Factory Data Reset?

      Try performing a Factory Data Reset.
