It is typical for your device to feel warm to the touch while it's in use. If you are using your device while it is charging, this will also cause the device to warm up. If it is becoming uncomfortable to touch, try the following troubleshooting steps:
Does the smartphone or tablet have any physical/liquid damage?
If yes, then you will need to contact the manufacturer for service.
Are you using the charger that came with your device?
Try using the original charger that was provided with your device.
If applicable, are you using the battery that came with your device?
Try using the original battery that came with the device.
Do you have many apps running at once?
Try exiting out of apps that you are not actively using.
Are unused features on (Including: Wi-Fi, Location, Bluetooth, etc.)?
Try turning off any network features that are not currently in use.
Is a thick case or holster being used with your device?
Try removing the case and letting the device vent and cool off for about 10 minutes.
Is the Screen Brightness at the highest setting?
Try setting the brightness level to Auto, or to a lower level.
Is the screen timeout set for a long time?
Try reducing the sceen timeout delay.
